Make Your Own Cord
Many times we need that special colored cord to complement our tailored garment. Here is a technique that works every time. Cut your yarn to twice the length desired, then insert one end into the center hole of one of your bobbins and put the bobbin in place as if you were going to rewind it as usual. Hold the other end of the strand taunt and press the pedal lightly until you feel the thread is tightly wound.
The next step is to fold the twisted strand in half and release one end, while holding on to the base near the bobbin. the cord will literally jump into a tightly twisted jumble. Carefully straighten it out and you will have a perfectly even twisted cord every time.
